Registration for the Lil Impact will be held on Monday, September 3, 2007 at the Impact Field. Parents will need to bring a REGISTRATION FORM filled out along with the $95 fee. Lil Impact Practices, Monday at 6:00, and Games will be on Friday night starting at 6:00.

The Academy
The Academy is an elite development program for Boys & Girls under 7 - 10. It is designed to promote and guide players that wish to transition from recreational soccer to competitive. The Academy is designed for more technically advanced recreational players who have a desire to expand their technical skills while learning tactical aspects of the game.

The most important aspect of The Academy is training. Technical and tactical training is provided 3 times per week in 1.5 hour sessions by our professional coaches (2 mandatory team practices with coaches and an optional but recommended skills session). In addition, players are expected to work at home on basic technical skills such as juggling, receiving, passing, and the like. Because Pool program players are more advanced than recreational players, and because at this age with the correct training so much individual progress can be made, it is important that the player understand that a commitment to practice must be made or that player will soon be surpassed in skills by the other players. As in our competitive program, the team’s coach gives each player a written individual assessment.

Q: What is a pool?
A: A pool is a group of about 21 players that train together. For games the pool is split into 3 teams.
Q: Who coaches the pools?
A: We only use paid professionals that have played soccer at a high level and are educated on how to train young players.
Q: Where do you practice?
A: We practice at the Impact fields located in the Karns area. South of Karns High School, across from Smoky Mtn. Tennis Academy

Q: When do you practice and play games?
A: Skills training is on Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30 and the pool practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:15 followed by a 40 minute game each practice night. Lil Impact have 1 practice and 1 game a week.

All Impact players please plan on attending this camp. This is a tradition in the Impact and is also one of our biggest fundraisers. We use this camp to give our players an advantage during the fall season by getting all of the new players chosen at tryouts adjusted to their teams. This is the only time all year our coaches get to spend so much time with their players. |
